Japan day 16 - the rainy season arrives

This was the wet view from our room window this morning.  It's been threatening rain - at least according to the weather forecast - for a few days now, and today was the first serious and lengthy downpour.  Luckily we were on a train - to Nagano - for almost all of it - though I was sorry that we didn't get to see more of the mountainous scenery in daylight.  So - these are views from the train, looking like stereotypical expectations of Japanese landscapes ... water, rice fields, and mist.
