This is Voorhees Mall at 8 a.m. this morning, between Murray Hall and the meeting that I was attending in Winants Hall (one darkened by last night's election result), and the light is, clearly, not needed. It looks remarkably tranquil (though in fact a woman was standing on the front steps of the Art Library, just to the left, yelling angrily into her cellphone to someone who had evidently broken every promise that he had ever made to her, and was going to Suffer For It, if she didn't take him to court first).
