For some weeks, workmen have been busying away at one of the many campus fountains, behind a tall and opaque set of coverings. I've been assuming that it was something to do with drainage. But no! The fountain, which I think was a rather fetching verdigris, has been scoured and polished and now has emerged - well, different! When the sun properly comes out (which it will ... though the rain is coming down with one last concerted effort this evening, and our phones blasted out a flood warning once again an hour or so back, disconcerting the cats), this will be quite dazzling.
