Our take-away lunch bags from the conference contained ... one cellophane-packaged chicken mayonnaise salad white-bread sandwich (the alternative was egg and tomato); one packet of salt and vinegar potato crisps (aka chips); one KitKat, one bottle of water, and an apple. Only my apple rolled out of my bag on Cardiff railway station, and despite Clare's assurance that a gull wouldn't eat it, it was quickly gobbled up.
