We met a friend for coffee downtown today - at Ikonik, on Guadalupe (having only been to the Lena Street branch before) - we thought this was newer than it was, which goes to show how little we saw of cafes during the pandemic... Lovely outside space; the coffee itself was decidedly millennial - our term of choice for that slightly minerally roasted taste - and we went back for lunch twenty minutes or so after coffee: very meh veg and grain bowl. Healthy, to be sure - but it's a shame that the food doesn't match up to the decor ...
