Far too many pictures! (and many more where they came from) - but pride of place must go to this snail (and his friends) on a snail-house - where one would fatten them up prior to garlic being involved. Almost all these photos - apart from the street scenes - come from the Municipal House - quite the most elaborate piece of concentrated Art Nouveau one could ever imagine.
This, though, is from the Museum of Communism - which was highly informative, and extremely bleak.
Oh my goodness, what beautiful and enchanting scenes. I was just reading about the magnificence of Prague during the time of Anne of Bohemia (Richard II's first wife who is theatrically forgotten by Shakespeare in the play R2). That golden snail is really memorable. Like the real snail from a few days ago, it too is making its way vertically down a door-frame...!
