save our planet

Obviously I'm not going to argue with the sentiments expressed here.  But what I don't quite get is why this little placard, collaged and painted, has ended up in a first floor women's bathroom in Taper Hall (and the one other person in there when I was didn't remove it).  Are we meant to flush responsibly? Wash our hands for the requisite twenty hygienic seconds, but no more?  Or was it left there, by mistake, and its maker has been desperately scouring all other corners of campus, having forgotten about her bathroom trip?  Also, why is it so brown?  The color of the earth, but nothing green seems to be growing on it, and the small whale cavorts in a polluted grey sea.
