There was a brief respite, around 7.30 p.m., but it's coming down again ... not so heavily as yesterday, to be sure - rather, one might call it a good, steady English rain, so it sounds very familiar. Luckily it doesn't seem to have come in anywhere unexpected, and even more fortunately, we have, of course, had our hill stabilized, or I hate to think what we'd be hauling out of the hot tub of the neighbor directly below us. That strange grey stripe on the left is a wall that will be painted once things have dried out - and after that, we might expect all our new plants to start growing.
