I was a little hurt a couple of days ago, Skyping with my father ... who repeated that I Wasn't to Bother buying a calendar for the bathroom this year: he would re-use one from 1995: same days, same dates. OK, he'd told me that. But then ... he complained that the one I'd bought for this year was too depressing. It was a Gustave Baumann calendar from NM Museum of Art (which, bizarrely, I'd found for sale in Wimbledon). "It's all browns and beiges and dull colours." Well, I said, those are pretty typical colours in New Mexico. "Don't show me New Mexico, then."
I really, really love the colors of fall here - all browns and beiges and golds.
