the damaged wall takes a modernist turn

This may be the slowest ever repair (this is two houses down from us, where a car didn't quite make the bend in time, earlier this summer).  But the dents are now covered with tarps and tape.  Of course, this may mean nothing more than the fact that some rain - probably not much rain - is vaguely in the forecast, but it certainly has introduced a new aesthetic element into this miniature disaster zone.
