night blooming in the morning

This cereus flower is a night-time, short-lived cactus bloom - and was still going strong in the early hours of daylight today, as we walked around the 'hood.  It's like a wild fried egg that's been thrown around in a centrifuge and tossed out: striking, and highly transient, and beautiful.
