I love this garden so much: I've been photographing it in a kind of wild and pre-emptively nostalgic way today. I know that the people who are buying it (fingers crossed; still waiting on exchange of contracts) want to keep as much of it as possible - and then save plants that will otherwise be in the way of their new house, but still ... They came round with architects today: I wanted to hold my hands over this house's horrified ears. But the land will be in the safest, kindest, wisest and most environmentally-friendly hands possible, if all this comes off.
