You're wondering how our magnificent new deck is coming along? Here's a glimpse: it's been held up continually by rain (including today), but this part of the construction should be complete soon ... I feel as though we've had workmen here for years, not months.
Indeed, for a month or two we had a huge mound of dirt - which has now been replaced, and tamped down. A huge surprise - behind it, somehow, the azaleas were flowering away. I hadn't realized that any light, any rain had been able to reach them - though to be honest, the rain this year could presumable reach anywhere ...
