It wasn't meant to rain today, but it did ... wonderful evening light, as a result. In other news, Gramsci did, indeed, attend the All Chairs meeting: I hope that my expression of pain as he used his tiny sharp claws to climb up my leg from time to time wasn't too obvious - or that it was, at the very least, seen as an expression of horror at the prospect of the semester ahead that was being unfurled. I can't work out whether to send a last memo round the department, or not - it would boil down to "we have to come back to campus, because parents expect to be paying for in person classes; you might get Covid, but probably not badly - and ask your Chair what to do with your class, if you do; and there will be lots of guidelines coming out, but these will change, all the time." 5 more days ...
