en route to the airport (very slowly)

It's been too long, for various reasons, since we've stayed at Los Poblanos, on the outskirts of Albuquerque, and it's wonderful to be back.  As an enterprise, it's grown enormously since we were first here. years and years ago, but we're staying in the old, Meem-designed part, and it's so beautiful: above, our room ... (on the left);

and the fall-decorated tractor;

and a water feature in the garden outside the room;

and our fire, happily burning in the fireplace, so everything smells of piñon smoke.  Only ... I note that some of the logs have lichen on them, which makes me feel a little weirdly as though I'm burning the subject matter of my research ...

We have early flights tomorrow, and this is a very humane way of getting nearer to Albuquerque airport.
