Hard to argue with, really. En route to Keck - Alice for a (very positive) eye check, me for my 3 millionth Covid booster. I can't get over how fortunate we are - by contrast to the UK, at least, where seemingly one has to be 75 by 30th June 2024; have a weakened immune system; or live in a care home for older adults. Whereas I had my last one in very late September, and could have had another early this year, if I hadn't had Covid at Christmas. As it is - I'll be able to have another in the early Fall, all free on USC health insurance. A quick check - I find that yes, Boots in the UK will give you a jab privately, for £98.95. That's $127. Hmmmm. I'm waiting for my usual dire reaction of shivering, fever, and general yowlishness to set in - and I think I might be a bit sulky if I'd had to pay out for the privilege (even if, yes, I'd probably have done it ...).
