View one - from my room in Ventnor this morning - perfect sun and blue sea. I sat out there and drank coffee.
View two - from my room in London. Somewhat awed by being upgraded to a Junior Suite, which is rather fine, but also ridiculous. Indeed - I can locate a £220 bottle of some fine tequila. I can have a Peloton delivered to my room. I can have my sneakers cleaned. But I cannot find the television remote. Clearly I've failed some basic level. What I thought was the remote seems to be a phone. This is not of major importance (if I really cared I could swallow my pride and call the front desk, and be the 17th person today to do so ...).
And here, view 3, is the Thames, from Charing Cross Bridge, after a wonderful dinner with my cousin Peter and his wife Kate - making me very sad (the company at dinner, and I suppose the Thames, too) that I live 6,000 miles away ...).
