It is the USC Careers Fair! There are cardinal and gold balloons all over the place. And the banners on the lamp posts proudly proclaim that it's Latinx/e Heritage Month! And look - where are the Latinx/e people in this image? Why, serving coffee from shiny shiny urns.
In other institutional news, we learned today that the beleaguered library staff had a requisition order for pencils turned back, because "what do you need pencils for if you have a computer?" I can't quite draw the connecting line between the two, but it all comes under the general heading of "you can't make this stuff up."
