From Kyoto Station to Sagano, which had a very mysterious cat sign;
and the beautifully set Tenryƫ-ji Temple,
with paintings,
and gardeners working very hard to maintain scrupulously tidy moss lawns.
Then through a huge avenue of bamboo;
back through the town, with chrysanthemums,
an owl cafe (we did not go inside, but we were watched - that's a very live owl;
and a cheerful man putting together packets of bean curd sweets.
Oh - and why, yes, that is a university seminar room, back in Kyoto. You didn't think this jaunt was all pleasure, did you??
