Charleston, mainly

but first, the streets of Brighton,

and then Lewes, which has changed enormously since I went there in the 1960s, although I still remembered a few bits, and the story of The Snowdrop, the pub built where there was a large fatal avalanche (Britain's worst ever) in 1836.   Also, there's a knitted squirrel on top of this post box.

And then Charleston - Vanessa Bell & co's house - where I haven't been for - oh, I don't know, 30 years? - dueing which time it's received a lot of National Lottery money and has been transformed into a much more obvious destination (indeed, currently hosting an arts festival), but the house itself was as lovely as ever. and the garden quite wonderful, so I'll leave it to speak for itself.
