This evening, we were sybarites: 95 minutes in the Waterfall hot tub at 10,000 Waves, and then dinner at Izanami. Of course I was engaged in comparisons with Japan the whole time: pro would be fewer people in a bath (indeed, just Alice - not shown - and me), and the smell of pinon trees, and the fact that we could drive home; con, the fact that there were fewer fancy salad leaves (despite the picture below) and edible flowers - and Clare and Kitty weren't here too. But other than that - the pickles were just as good; the sake selection superlative ... it was really instructive and interesting how well it measured up.
