It's being a long haul getting our NM house back into order this summer - cleaning, and tidying, and trying to make it feel properly cared for - after not being able to be here last summer (for obvious reasons), and only darting in and out occasionally this last year. But we're making progress! - an extra incentive was having friends (colleagues from USC, indeed) to dinner, and for the first time things were looking great. It was a stormy evening (rain! wonderful) - so after drinks outdoors, we ate inside. And, mercifully, the mice didn't put in an appearance.
