There's a house on Monte Alto Road that sold earlier this year, and the new occupants have done a wonderful job in painting their mailbox - a snake one side, and (saving this one up for another day!) a jackrabbit the other. Maybe Alice will make an appearance behind the jackrabbit, too - here, not only did I shake the camera in surprise, but it looks as though she's been upturning a trash can in the background. I promise that it was a more sedate walk, really ... (though, for all of you wondering how her continued recovery is going, check out that muscle tone ...).
