So it's time for Alice to have a publicity portrait or two. Or three. Or indeed, here, six. Which to choose? There are plenty more ... but these are my favorites, in part because Alice doesn't look too miserable in them. She feels that since hers is a Serious Book, she shouldn't be smiling too cheerfully, and of course she has a point, perhaps. On the other hand ...
Votes? Thoughts? Of course, these are in color: conversion to black and white will happen, too.

I like #3 from the top.
ReplyDeleteFirst, congrats to the photogenic subject and the talented photographer! And the whiskered assistant photographers who are not featured. I like photo 4 of 6. Photo 6 of 6 is very close in spirit and composition to 4, so I also like it. Photo 2 of 6 (the hero shot) is super cool too. There are no bad choices! Very exciting that the book has reached this stage of production!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you! There was another one that involved whiskers and shoulders, but that's perhaps a little too E. P. Thompson (Google, if you don't know the pic ... ). I'm going to have turn them all into B&W, and see how they look then ...
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that THE famous Marxist historian EP Thompson had a cat consultant for his writing! Delightful. I'd love to see A's author's photo with cat(s)!
