pride month (and more about that scaffolding)

 

For once, USC gets something right: they still have a Pride screen showing - in rotation - in Taper, and, one imagines, in other locations as well.  Not that there are a whole lot of people around to see it ... just a couple of maintenance guys doing something complicated with the HVAC system, and understandably grumbling that they'd been issued with an alleged master key that only opened about one in eight doors.  So what, I asked one of them, whom I've got to know over the years, is up with the Education School building?  Why all that scaffolding?  Oh, he says, bricks were falling out of it.  So they sent a drone round it all to have a look, and there are lots of loose bricks. So they're having to fix it.  

That, I guess, is another expensive law suit or so averted ...
