ready for graduation?

Let's just say that this is what the seats for Commencement looked like by the middle of this afternoon - each one with a little puddle in the middle of them.  And it's rained a whole lot since. And more rain is forecast for tomorrow morning (though it may not look quite as desperate as it once did).  But.  There are, of course, no contingency plans, other than prayer (and prayer rather conflicts with everyone who actually wants it to rain, badly wants it to rain, in Southern California).  The last time that it rained for USC Commencement?  1973.  That would be the summer before I went to university.  That's a very very long time ago.
