It rained, on and off, all day - but that didn't stop me taking a long walk to the Common, and then round Cannizaro, where - for the first time in an age - I managed to co-incide with all the azaleas being in magnificent bloom. And because it was so damp, it was misty, and there were very few people about: just flocks and flocks of screeching parakeets in the tree canopy, making it seem like a steamy tropical rain forest ...
And the laburnum trees were pretty good, too.
